The founder Late Keerrai Thamil Selvan was born in 1936 at Keeranur, a small village in Pudukkottai District. He was well known social worker who did a yeoman service to socially and economically depressed community for more than 50 years.
He devoted and dedicated himself in public service by tireless working as a social well-wisher and star of self-respect for achieving emancipation of suppressed of impoverished people, for abolishing slaveries of women folk, to reach equal right of them, to drive away the demon of illiteracy from the society, to promote educational improvement among them, to eradicate the deep-rooted ups and downs in the society and to unify all men alike.
The long felt desire of the people of this locality for providing education to women students was fulfilled by late Keerrai Thamil Selvan, a philanthropic and benevolent gentleman, popular in the locality for his devotion, magnificence and keen interest in public matters especially in the matter of education
